Nutri-Phytase-5000

CONCENTRATE

Phytase as an enzyme is capable of breaking down phytates in feeds to release inorganic phosphorus and inositol as well as protein, amino acids, trace minerals and other nutrients chelated with phytates. Thus, phytase can reduce or eliminate the supplementation of inorganic phosphorus in feeds for monogastric animals and improve the utilization efficiency of these nutrients contained in feedstuff. As much as 90 % of the total phosphorus  in cereals and oilseeds can be locked up in the form of phytate, which is a virtually indigestible form of phosphorus in plants used in animal feeds.

Nutri-Phytase 5000 obtained from Aspergillus niger, is a 3-phytase, meaning the phosphates are released from the phytate beginning at the carbon-3 of the inositol ring which efficiently breaks down phytate.

Typical Analysis Nutri-Phytase 5000 FPU/per/g CONCENTRATE

              Enzyme Activity - Phytase .......... 5000 FPU/g

Loss on drying: ............................ 5.5% max.

Nutri-Phytase 5000 is active over a wide range of pH from 4.5 to 6.5

Phytase lowers the phosphorus excreted in manure by releasing the phytate-bound phosphorus found naturally in grains and soybeans. Like poultry, swine lack sufficient intestinal phytase. By adding the enzyme to the diet, more phosphorus becomes available to the animal, which lowers the amount of supplemental phosphorus required and the amount that goes undigested.

Many researches and case studies have demonstrated the following benefits of phytase:

1) Reduce the supplementation of costly inorganic phosphorus in feeds, reduce the feed cost, and increase the profit of both feed companies and farms. The supplementation of phytase can increase the assimilation efficiency of phytate-phosphorus by 30-40% in pig feeds and 40-58% in poultry and duck feeds

 2) Reduce the total phosphorus content in livestock/poultry feeds, and reduce the excreted phosphorus through manure by 40-60%, thus reducing environmental pollution

 3) Increase the utilization efficiency of minerals, protein and other nutrients, and improve the production performance of livestock/poultry

4) Increase the space in feed formula to improve feed quality

5) Reduce the risk of heavy metal poisoning and microbial pollution caused by dicalcium phosphate and bone meal, respectively

6) Reduce the dust pollution in feed processing by reducing the supplement of inorganic phosphorus

Under the new EPA phosphorus-based regulations, scheduled to change later this year, the P content of manure, combined with how much P already exists in the soil, will determine how much manure can be spread on an acre of land. Even though EPA is set to target the P from swine manure first, similar regulations on poultry, dairy and beef will follow in sequential years.

Nutri-Phytase 5000 reduces phosphorus excretion by over 30 %. Advantage, less land is required for manure disposal and disposal costs are decreased when manure disposal is limited by phosphorus content.

Nutri-Phytase 5000 helps to release phytate-bound phosphorus as well as other minerals, trace elements and amino acids. Lower feed costs – Higher profits

Waste Produced: More than 1.5 million gallons of manure in a year, the typical amount produced by a 250 dairy cow herd or a 13,000 pig/yr. finishing operation.

About 11 to 12 lb. of inorganic phosphorus can be substituted with 0.4 lb. of phytase enzyme per ton of feed.

Phosphorus is a necessary nutrient for animal growth, and the lack of phosphorus in livestock/poultry feed will reduce the production performance of livestock and poultry. Plant feed ingredients contain large amount of phosphorus. However, most phosphorus exists in the form of phytate-phosphorus. Due to the lack of endogenous phytase in livestock and poultry, phytate-phosphorus could not be released and absorbed by livestock and poultry. Thus, feed companies have to supplement costly inorganic phosphorus into feeds. Livestock and poultry fed with feeds supplemented with inorganic phosphorus release most phytate-phosphorus and unabsorbed inorganic phosphorus into the environment through excreta, causing more and more serious environmental pollution. The addition of exogenous commercial phytase into livestock/poultry feeds can efficiently utilize phytate-phosphorus thus minimize environmental pollution.

Phytase has been widely used in feed industry. The number of large and medium feed companies, which use phytase in livestock and poultry feeds, exceeds 5,000 in the world, with an annual growing rate of more than 20%.
